MI Air Line Trail Safety in Commerce Twp.
How to Cross Safely
Our Trail Etiquette Campaign
One of the key goals for the Michigan Air Line Trail is to have a well-informed base of trail users that enjoy the trail in a courteous and mindful manner.
That means being safe, alerting others when you will pass them, and generally practicing good trail behavior that keeps users of all ages and abilities coming back to enjoy the Air Line over and over again.
You may see the following Trail-Wise tips out on the trail as reminders; please keep them in mind as you ride, walk, skate or run.
E-Bikes on the Air Line Trail
Using an e-bike on a multi-use trail brings along an additional new set of responsibilities. To operate an e-bike safely, one must watch their speed, be extra mindful of slower traffic and keep abreast of other trail rules. For these and other reasons, only Class-1 e-bikes are permitted on the Air Line, and all e-motos (electric motorbikes) are expressly prohibited.
