GLWA Water main Break: Efforts continue to clean up the area of the break and to make repairs.
All communities that were without municipal water have had their service restored (with Novi just having been restored this morning. Only Novi and Walled Lake are currently under boil water advisories.
NO BOIL WATER ADVISORY FOR COMMERCE TWP. AT THIS TIME.

Latest update for Commerce Township municipal water users:

We continue to be served by a backup/emergency connection to GLWA via West Bloomfield. It is asked that everyone in the area conserve water to allow our reserve tank to refill and to not put added strain on the system.

UPDATE: Commerce Township municipal water has been diverted to emergency connections to GLWA water.

Commerce municipal water users will be on Wixom water for a period of 2 hours until the West Bloomfield emergency connection valve can be opened.

WB should be able to do that beginning at noon.

The water main break is affecting Commerce Township. We are currently getting updated info from GLWA. GLWA is working to isolate the issue. PLEASE CONSERVE WATER for the time being.
