The Precautionary Boil Water Notices for Commerce Township and Walled Lake have ended
October 2, 2025.
The precautionary boil water advisories issued on September 29, 2025 for Commerce Township
and Walled Lake ended on October 2, 2025.
There is no need to boil water before using it for consumption if you are a resident or business in
Commerce Township or Walled Lake.
Area residents are asked to limit outdoor water usage until the final repair is completed by the
Great Lakes Water Authority.
Please take the following steps after the advisory:
Turn on your tap slowly and run the water to flush water pipes for five minutes.
Empty your automatic ice maker completely and discard the ice made during the advisory
period; then, run a few cycles of ice production and throw those batches away as well to
fully flush the water line in the ice maker before using the ice again.
The boil water notice remains in effect for Wixom.
