Welcome to the Planning Department

 

The Planning Department is responsible for all rezoning, site plan reviews, special land use permits and all new subdivision plats.  In addition, all site condominium projects including residential, commercial and industrial are the responsibility of the Planning Department to review and track.  Ordinance #55 is the Zoning Ordinance, which mandates the majority of the reviews.  Any variance requests from this ordinance are applied for through the Planning Department and reviewed by the Township Zoning Board of Appeals.

 

In addition to the Zoning Ordinance, the Township Master Plan which is the document that forecast future growth and development, the responsibility of the Planning Department to interpret and enforce.

·       Recreational planning

·       Census track information

·       Landscape ordinance enforcement

·       Historic study reviews

·       Future road studies
