the Township Board of the Charter Township of Commerce, Tentatively Declaring
its Intention to Establish a Special Assessment District, High Pointe
Subdivision Paving/Road Replacement
Special Assessment District if the cost is under $400.00 per property.

as Ordinance 55-08-203.
MOTION by Kirkwood, supported by Sovel, to Introduce Z08-02 An
Ordinance to Amend Article XV Section 1501 Light Industrial, of the Charter
Township of Commerce Zoning Ordinance Number 85-12-55-00, to add Places of Assembly
as a special land use, to be known as Ordinance 55-08-203 and publish and post
in the manner prescribed by law and bring back to the Township Board for
Adoption at the next regular scheduled Township Board Meeting.

like camping oriented vehicles/trailers, to be known as Ordinance No.
55-08-204.

There appears
to be an increase of freestanding signs in the Township. Jeff Bowdell said it could be due to
construction projects in the business area.
Businesses located in construction areas were allowed to put up a
temporary directional sign.

Update on the
Library Advisory Board. He stated there
is a large amount of outstanding fines (money) resulting from residents not
returning materials to the library.
Review of a collection process may be in order.

Ordinance, approved. She inquired, have
residents been advised of the new Ordinance?
Phillip Adkison, Township Attorney gave an update on Rails
to Trails Program. He asked if the
Township Board would like him to continue with discussion on this program. It was the consensus of the Township Board
not to proceed with discussion at this time.
