Absentee Ballots
Absentee Ballots are available by first submitting an “Application for Absent Voters Ballot” with full name, address, and the reason you are requesting an absentee ballot:  60 years of age or older, you  expect to be absent from the community in which you are registered for the entire time the polls are open on election day; you are physically unable to attend the polls without the assistance of another; you cannot attend the polls because of the tenets of your religion; and/or you cannot attend the polls because you are confined to jail awaiting arraignment or trail.

Please sign and date the application to validate.

Applications are accepted at the Clerk's office, in person or by mail during regular office hours.  If submitted in person you will receive an absentee ballot at that time.  If the application is received by mail, after signature verification, a ballot will be mailed to you.

A written request, including all the above information, will also be accepted by mail or fax, in lieu of an “Application for Absent Voters Ballot” form.

Mail to:  Charter Township of Commerce, Office of the Clerk, 2840 Fisher, Commerce, MI 48390
