TOWNSHIP CEMETERIES
Commerce Township Burying Ground -
located on the north side of Commerce Road between South Commerce/Carroll Lake Roads and Newton Road. The Burying
Ground, also known as the Commerce Village Cemetery, is the resting-place for many early settlers of Commerce Township dating back to 1835. In
addition, the Cemetery is also the peaceful resting place for a number of
veterans from the Civil War and World War I.
The landscaping, plant life and monuments that decorate this special
place are all meticulously designed and cater to the peaceful, tranquil
atmosphere.
Mascord Addition - located
on the north side of Commerce Road directly adjacent to the Commerce Township Burying Ground
Curtis Addition – located on the south side of Commerce Road directly across the street from the Commerce
Township Burying Ground
Richardson Cemetery –
located on the south side of Oakley Park Road west of Haggerty
Commerce Memorial Cemetery – located
on the west side of Benstein Road, south of Glengary
Burial sites can be purchased as follows:
Resident of Commerce Township - $350.00
Non Resident - $1000.00
